Laptop Overheating

ImageManson,WA (MVT) - Many customers have reported that their laptop computers get too hot and lock up or shut down in the middle of their work.  This can be annoying at least and fatal at worst.  You may just let the unit cool down and restart with no problem.  Or you may permanently damage your hardware.

So why would a laptop overheat?  There are several common causes that can be easily rectified.

Protest in Wenatchee of Fifth Year of Iraq War

ImageWenatchee,WA (MVT) - A protest of the Iraq war took place on March 19th, 2008 at the corner of First Street and Wenatchee Avenue in Wenatchee.  About 20 persons assembled on the corners with signs protesting the continuing war on the five year anniversary of the invasion.

Name of Fire Victim Released by Coroner

ImageChelan County Sheriff (CCSD) - Chelan County Coroner Wayne Harris announced an autopsy will be conducted today on the victim of a structure fire that occurred on March 18, 2008.  The victim, Patricia A. Forsman, 70 of Leavenworth, was found deceased inside a Lake Wenatchee area home that was destroyed by the fire.  A second resident, Teddy E. Fox, 69, was also injured in the fire.  Autopsy results will be released as soon as they are available.

 
Chelan County Sheriff’s Office Training Event

ImageChelan County Sheriff (CCSD) - Chelan County Sheriff Mike Harum reports on March 20, 2008, beginning at 12:00 p.m., the Chelan County Sheriff’s Office will conduct a protracted training event in the MalagaChelan County and FBI Hostage/Crisis Negotiators, RiverCom Dispatch, Department of Corrections, Chelan County Fire Department, and Chelan County Emergency Management. area.  Training participants will include personnel from the following:  Chelan County Regional SWAT Team.

The training will be conducted at a warehouse in the Malaga area, and will conclude at approximately 6:00 p.m.

ImageChelan County Sheriff (CCSD) - Chelan County Sheriff Mike Harum reports on March 18, 2008 at approximately 9:50 p.m., Chelan County Sheriff’s deputies, along with Chelan County Fire District 9 and Cascade Ambulance were dispatched to a structure fire at 18728 Fir Loop Road in the LakeWenatchee area.  Units were advised there were possibly two residents inside the structure.

Third Candidate Enters Commissioner Race for Third District

Deanna Walter of Wenatchee has announced her candidacy for Chelan County Commissioner, District 3.  She is seeking the position currently held by Commissioner Buell Hawkins, who announced he would not be seeking another term.  Although they share the same last name, she is not related to District 1 Commissioner Ron Walter.
