Lake Chelan, Washington - The Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce will hold the 9th Annual Lake Chelan RiverDaze Festival September 1& 2, 2007  Saturday, September 1, 10am-6pm and Sunday, September 2, 10am-4pm.  RiverDaze is designed to showcase arts and crafts, while incorporating family activities within the natural setting of Lake Chelan’s Riverwalk Park and banks of Chelan River at the edge of downtown Chelan.

Chelan County Sheriff - Sheriff Mike Harum reports on August 19, 2007 at 4:00 PM deputies responded to an airplane crash near the Lake Wenatchee airstrip.  The pilot, a Vancouver, WA resident had called 911 advising he had just crashed into trees near the airfield.  He told RiverCom there were four people on board and all had been able to walk away from the crash.
