Minutes from last night's Board meeting (5/16/2006):
Minutes of April meeting approved, with minor change.
Al Lorenz' proposal to build a dry boat storage building by Old Mill discussed.
Rod Huddleston, Chelan County Sheriff's office, propose to add more No Wake buoys and other markers in the lake this year, asking Manson Parks to help pay some of the costs. The Board voted to spend $2,500 on the project, and $1,000 per year to help maintain.
Board will be focusing on the upcoming levy, and contacting community groups with information. A levy committee will be formed. A suggestion was made to ask groups and churches for help with campaign costs.
Employee wages and possible healthcare benefits were discussed.
New doors have been ordered for the Manson Bay restrooms.
Discussion about charging a rental fee for the gazebo at Singleton Park. Issue was tabled until the next meeting.
The Board discussed the right for the Manson Parks office to refuse service to non-compliant customers.
Port of Chelan County is unable to help with funds for the Willow Point erosion project.
The Manson School District is looking into an outdoor sports facility complex.
Second reading of the chair person term limit by-law amendment was read.
