Chelan, WashingtonCelebrate our nations birthday with a big “Hooray for the Red, White and Blue” at FIRST FRIDAY on Friday, July 7th from 6 PM to 9 PM in downtown Chelan.  The Historic Downtown Chelan Association and Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce sponsor this special event the first Friday of every month.   

There will be lots of First Friday entertainment, specials and art downtown.  The Chelan Valley Players will be strolling Wooden Avenue performing parts from “Some Enchanted Evening”.  Information and tickets for this fun summer Theatre at Tsillan Cellars Winery will be available.  Back by popular demand at Carol’s is the Teoko Drum Group representing the Chelan Fitness Center.   A new part of First Friday is the student Artwalk.  Student art will be shown throughout the month at Aston’s Gifts, Cards, etc; Carol’s; the Culinary Apple; Main Street Gallery; Shirt Shop; Woven Threads and Memories by the Lake. 

 

This year marks the 25th anniversary of Bach Fest, representatives will be downtown with information and tickets.

 

The Eagle’s Auxiliary will be selling special desserts to benefit their local scholarship fund.   Main Street Gallery’s Artist in Action welcomes, Wenatchee artist, Jennifer Mischke who will be painting in oil.  Sunburst Gallery will feature Cle Elum sumi and watercolor artist, Barbara Nickerson.  Stop by to see these artists in action.  Campbell's House Cafe will feature a free appetizer with the purchase of two dinner entrees.

 

The 100-year-old Episcopal Church will be open, food donations and cash will be accepted for the Chelan Food Bank.  Back by popular demand the women of the Philanthropic Educational Organization (P.E.O.) will have their special baked goods available.   Guild B will have a raffle for a round trip for two to Stehekin and a night at the Courtney Ranch.  The Lake Chelan Museum will have its doors open and will feature the Three Amigos.   

 

FIRST FRIDAY is a special event held in Chelan’s historic shopping district the first Friday of each month from 6 – 9 pm.  Participating merchants offer FIRST FRIDAY specials.  Come see your friends and neighbors and experience the fun of downtown Chelan as we move into summer in the Lake Chelan Valley.  If you have questions regarding this special event please stop by the Chamber office at 102 East Johnson, Chelan, visit our website lakechelan.com or call on 509-682-3503.
