July 18, 2006 Manson Park Board Minutes
Steve Wilson: Hyacinth Block Watch Group has been meeting and working on proposals for Manson Parks Board regarding traffic and after hour use of Singleton Park. John Peters has been working with the Block Watch group for several months.
Shannon Byquist-Freels gave a levy committe report. A letter to the community will be mailed in August. A fundrair\ser is scheduled, and a financial committee has been formed.
Financial report: There was quite a bit of storm damage to the parks on July 5th. Everything has been repaired. A water fountain may be installed at the Willow Point Park in memory of Mr. & Mrs. Leo England. The PUD is looking into installing a fountain at the Manson Bay restroom building.
The PUD is looking into drawings for the new building on Pedoi St.
The County Sheriff's Marine Patrol is looking into the legalities of an ordinance to remove boats that are in the Manson Bay Marina slips illegally.
The overflow parking lot at the Old Mill Boat Launch will have signs stating the $5 per day parking fee.
The Board discussed a marina reservation policy for next year. There was also discussion about whether the Park office should be at the new Pedoi building or remain in the Ray Bumgarner building.
Boat trailers on Pedoi St.: There are too many boat trailers parking, causing less vehicle parking. The Public Works is looking into signs stating No Trailer Parking.
The next Manson Parks Board meeting will be August 15th, 5:30 p.m. in the Ray Bumgarner Building.
