Valley Pride Auctiontickets are on sale.This year’s event, “An Enchanted Evening,” will be held at
Wapato Point Cellars on Saturday, August 26, 2006 starting at 6:30 pm.Tickets are $40 per person in advance and $50
at the door.Tickets include; a special
evening of many activities including a live and silent auction, music, a buffet
of heavy hors d’oeuvres, a commemorative glass with wine
script and wine tasting with a variety of local wineries, and much more.Proceeds support the Community Enrichment
Fund, which provides for scholarships, maintenance of the murals and other

River Daze – September 2nd &
3rd
Labor Day Weekend, September 2nd and
3rd, is the 8th annual RiverDaze festival at Riverwalk
Park.This event will be featuring arts
& craft vendors, food booths, trains rides, kid’s activities, and live
entertainment at the Riverwalk Pavilion from 1 to 3 Saturday and Sunday
afternoon. On Saturday from 3 to 6 we have a special Country Concert with
Jonathon Barr and his daughter Hannah.A
separate beverage garden will be available Saturday.

Award Nominations
Each
year the Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce recognizes businesses and people in the
Lake Chelan Valley who have made significant contribution to the success of our
community.If you know a business or
person who deserves special recognition please contact the Chamber Office to get
an award nomination form.Annually the
Chamber presents awards to the Citizen of the Year, Business of the Year, New
Business of the Year and Chamber Member of the Year.The Chamber also at times will recognize
other special achievements including Beautification awards and Senior Citizen of
the Year.Last year the Citizen of the
Year was Pastor Paul Palumbo recognizing him for his work with the Food Bank and
the Teen Center.The Chamber announces
the awards at the Chamber Banquet the end of October.
Board
Nominations and Election
The
Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce depends on members volunteering time to serve on
the Board of Directors.The Board of
Directors is the policy-making body of the Chamber. Board members are selected
from among the members, by the members, to represent the business and
professional leadership of the community. The Board consists of nine (9) elected
members who each serve a three-year term.Directors may serve two consecutive three-year terms.The by-laws provide that the full Board of
Directors shall meet at least once a month, with additional meetings subject to
call of the President.The Chamber is
seeking candidates from our Lodging, Professional Services, Recreation, Real
Estate, and Restaurant members.Formal
nominations and elections will occur in September.If Chamber Members have questions or are
interested in serving on the Chamber Board please call me at the Chamber
