Chamber Briefs 9-6-06 PDF Print E-mail
Written by Gregory Kennedy

Good Afternoon Chamber Members,

In this distribution you will find information on following topics

  • Capitol Christmas Tree Project 2006
  • Business After Hours at Carol's: Thursday, September 21st
  • Chamber Dividend deadline: Friday, September 22nd

Capitol Christmas Tree Project 2006

This year, Washington State has been given the honor of providing the Christmas Tree that will stand in front of the U.S. Capitol Building in Washington D.C. during the holidays.

Our community has been selected as a stop along the tour route. The date chosen for the stop will be on November 13th from 9:00-10:15 am.

I am working with the Northwest Interpretive Association (NWIA) on the Capitol Christmas Tree 2006 event to fundraise for the event, and am forwarding information to you on opportunities for sponsorships available. Our hope is that smaller, local businesses will be just as involved and visible as the larger, national sponsors. We are committed to ensuring that a wide variety of Washington State businesses owners have an opportunity to participate in this event.

Also, if you are interested, I want to point out that the first business to come in at the Western Red Cedar level ($1,000 or more) will be the title sponsor for our community event on November 13th.

More information on the Capitol Christmas Tree 2006 is available on the following websiteshttp://www.lakechelan.com/629.html or http://www.capitolchristmastree2006.org/

If you are interested or have additional questions, please feel free to contact Jaye Payne at the Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce, 682-3503 or .
