Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce Hires New Chamber Director PDF Print E-mail
Written by Cindy Davis
Saturday, 21 October 2006

Chelan, Washington - Micheal Steele is a Lake Chelan native.  He graduated from Manson high school and went on to receive a degree from Pacific Lutheran University, majoring in Political Science and Business Administration.  Upon his graduation from PLU he had the opportunity to serve at the White House as an intern in Political Affairs.  It was an incredibly exciting experience and one he will never forget.  Micheal moved back to Washington State in January of 2006.  He worked with State Legislature as a member of the Republican Caucus staff.  In this capacity he was able to gain an intricate understanding of the state policy making process.

He continued to serve the Republican caucus as the Field Director of the caucus PAC, the House Organizational Committee, until coming to the Lake Chelan Chamber.  He is tremendously excited to be back home, working for the community that helped shape so much of what he is.  He looks forward to building relationships; serving the community and helping the valley prosper.

Micheal is scheduled to begin service on November 13th.
