Chelan, Washington – Come usher in the holidays at Lake Chelan with “Rockin Jingle Bell Open House” at FIRST FRIDAY on Friday, December 1^st from 6 PM to 9 PM in downtown Chelan.  The Historic Downtown Chelan Association and Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce sponsor this special event the first Friday of every month.   

This First Friday will feature special holiday entertainment, fun, specials and art downtown.  The Historic Chelan Museum will be open and feature special music offered by the trio, The Three Amigos.  Carolers will help spread the holiday spirit as they roam the main street. 

There will be plenty of food to entice your taste buds. The Culinary apple will be serving old fashioned fudge made with brown sugar; the perfect gift for the sweet tooth in the family.  Campbell’s House Café will also be offering a free appetizer with the purchase of two dinner entrees. You can count on a plethora of treats offered by the other businesses downtown as well.  

The Holidays are the perfect time to give back.  The Chelan Food Bank and St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church will be open and accepting food and cash donations.  Be sure to stop by the Eagles Auxiliary to purchase homemade holiday cookies.  The proceeds will benefit their scholarship program.  The Chelan FFA Chapter will be selling boxes of apples benefiting their chapter.  They will also be conducting a toy drive to benefit the Toys for Tots program.  Soroptomist International will also be selling miniature Christmas Trees while supplies last!

Art will be part of the holiday festivities. Main St Gallery's Artist in Action series welcomes Chelan artist, Peach Simonds, working in charcoal.  Chelan High School Student Artist, Sara Mathews will be painting as well. The artwalk continues this month featuring pottery from the art department at Chelan High School and will be shown at Carol's, Culinary Apple, Aston's, Shirt Shop Plus and Woven Threads. Stop by and enjoy the art while sipping a cup of hot spiced cider.
