Drug Eradication, Columbia River Drug Task Force PDF Print E-mail

Chelan County - Chelan County Sheriff Mike Harum reports on the evening of November 21, 2006, the Columbia River Drug Task Force, Chelan County Deputies, and Wenatchee Police Officers continue to be aggressive with investigations to eradicate drugs in our communities by serving three search warrants, one in Cashmere, and two in Wenatchee.

The first warrant was served at a residence on Red Apple Road in Cashmere, the home of Cora Andruss a 35 year old female. Andruss was arrested for Unlawful Delivery of Methamphetamine While Involving Minor Children. She was also found in possession of more crystal methamphetamine and three ounces of marijuana. Child Protective Service was called to investigate the issues with the children being present at the home while drugs were being sold in plain view of the children.

Two additional warrants were served at the 9th and Pierre Street trailer park with additional permission to search a third home in the trailer park. In total, investigators seized over seven (7) pounds of marijuana, One and one half (1 ½) ounces of crystal methamphetamine, four (4) firearms, and approximately $2,500.00 in cash.  Genaro Medina a 31 year old male was arrested. Medina was also being sought by Immigration Customs Enforcement on a Federal arrest warrant for being an aggravated illegal alien felon unlawfully in the United States; Medina was also arrested for Unlawful Delivery of Methamphetamine.

The Columbia River Drug Task Force is made up of Detectives from Chelan County Sheriff’s office, Kittitas County Sheriff’s office and Wenatchee Police Department.
