Manson (MVT) - Sam Thomas was air lifted to Children’s Hospital in Seattle Sunday night. He has been diagnosed with Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome. As of this writing the causative factor is unknown. E coli is a possibility but the lab results are not back yet. He is on kidney dialysis with an uncertain prognosis. It is expected that he will be in the hospital many weeks.
Sam is a talented 4th grade student of Manson Elementary. He loves math, science and art. He is well known for his “Scary Story” contest submission and he sells his artwork at the Farmers Market in Manson. He has 2 brothers: Graham and Philip, and a little sister named Zoe. His Mother and Father, Celeste and Phil Thomas are with him at the hospital.
Community and church members have gathered in prayer and to help with immediate needs. In addition, school staff members have started filling an envelope for monetary donations in the Elementary School office.
