The candidates will start the selection day with individual interviews with five out-of-town judges.  The candidates and their escorts will have lunch with the judges, and take time to relax a bit before the program begins at 2:00. As the program begins  M.C. Mike Steele will introduce each candidate to the audience and read their Bios as they're brought on stage by their escorts.  Each candidate will present a three to five minute speech and then answer an impromptu question.

At the intermission the audience will have a chance to cast their vote for their 1st, 2nd, and 3rd choice for Queen.  The audience vote is worth 20 percent of the total score.  Also at intermission will be some wonderful entertainment.  The candidates and their escorts will perform a dance routine choreographed by Pat Beratta, then Jesse Russell will present Blues Music on his guitar,  and Manson Idol Winner Pauline Bassire will sing for the crowd. Also on the agenda is a chance for the audience to vote for the "People's Choice Award" for the festival's button.  The top three button entries will be on display in the commons area so the crowd can view the choices and cast their vote. The audience' votes will be counted and announced before the end of the program.

The entire community is invited to attend and show support to all six candidates. This will truly be a  fun-filled afternoon with lots of entertainment!

The out of town judges are:  Terry Loss of Leavenworth; Jan Bowers of Ellensburg; Diane Johnson of Brewster; Leo Garcia of Cashmere and Meaghan Vibbert of East Wenatchee.
