Manson, WA (MVT) - Building a float to carry Manson Festival Royalty
is something Diana Ellsworth has been doing for the past six years. Her award
winning float designs have brought honor to the festival and this year a very
special float will carry Queen Sierra Ellsworth, Princesses Keisha Neff and Laura Cross.
The festival theme "Golden Glamor" will be depicted through hat boxes, flowing veils, picture-perfect sun
hats and towering topiaries. Diana has had help from many including husband and
father of the Queen, Mike Ellsworth, Kathy Pittman, Patty Porter and master mechanic Troy
Brooks, who keeps the 1961 Volkswagen frame, used as the float chassis, in top condition. Driving chores for the various parades will be done
by fathers of the royalty.
Kathy Pittman is in charge of wearable memorabilia connected with the Manson Apple Blossom Festival. She has available t-shirts, hats, and sweatshirts. When the headquarters for Apple Blossom opens the end of April in the storefront adjacent to Allisons, they will be available downtown as well.
