Manson Trojans hosted Lake Roosevelt in basketball action yesterday- with both Manson girls and boys on the losing end.
On the girls’ side, the final score was Manson 30- Lake Roosevelt 39, after a tied ball game heading into the fourth quarter. Head Coach, Kurt Toolson said, "I thought our defense was exceptional in the first 3 quarters. Unfortunately, we had some breakdowns in the last quarter that allowed them to build up a big lead. “Manson was led by the 12 points and 10 rebounds of Maddee Ward.
For the boys, Manson lost by a score of 51-61. Coach Erik Helleson explains the team "got to within 6 twice in the second half but couldn't get over the hump." The Trojans were led by Eduardo Escalera, who had 12 points; Spencer Ward with 11 and Bo Charlton with 10.
The Trojans next game is Friday in Oroville, followed by a home game next Tuesday- when the school will host a community dinner.
