Sheriff Brian Burnett reports on 09/08/2016 members of the Columbia River Drug Task Force, the Chelan County Regional SWAT team, the Washington State Patrol, and the Drug Enforcement Administration executed a search warrant in the Stemilt Basin area. The area was being used for the illicit manufacture of marijuana.
Two subjects were taken into custody and over 4,000 mature marijuana plants with an estimated conservative value of over $1,000,000.00 were seized. Chelan County Public Works assisted law enforcement with the disposal of the marijuana.
CRDTF Detectives learned one of the subjects arrested was wanted in connection with a Grant County Incident where he was charged with First Degree Assault, and over 5 pounds of Methamphetamine was seized from his home.
Investigation into the two subjects arrested by the Columbia River Drug Task Force is ongoing.
