Sheriff Brian Burnett reports on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at approximately 3:45 AM a stabbing was reported in the 100 block of Boodry Street in Wenatchee. The victim, a 61 year old male resident said he was stabbed in the stomach and the suspect fled.
As Deputies responded to the area, they were flagged down in the 70 block by a male claiming to be a stabbing victim. The 21 year old male, later identified as Alexander Alhammadi said he was on his porch when a man wearing dark clothing approached and stabbed him with a knife. He had a knife wound to his hand. Mr. Alhammadi was transported to the emergency room at CWH.
Deputies also contacted the 61 year old male in the 100 block of Boodry Street. He said he confronted a male wearing a mask and dark clothing on his front porch. During the confrontation, the suspect pulled out a sword and stabbed him in the abdomen and fled leaving the sword behind. The victim was transported to the emergency room at CWH. The severity of his injuries is unknown.
Through investigation by Chelan County Sheriff’s Office Detectives, it was determined Mr. Alhammadi was the suspect with the sword. It is unknown how he sustained the injury to his hand. After being released medically, he was booked into CCRJC for Assault 1st Degree. CCSO detectives are continuing to interview witnesses and investigate both scenes.
