Witnesses reported that a silver moped had been stolen, and the suspect vehicle was last seen driving southbound on North Aurora Ave.

Later that day, at approximately 6:09 PM, an East Wenatchee patrol officer located the suspected stolen moped in the 1100 block of Cedar Lane in East Wenatchee. An adult male was working on the moped. When officers attempted to contact the male, he ran inside upon their approach. He was booked into the Chelan County Jail for possession of a stolen motor vehicle.

While officers were on the scene after the suspect was taken into custody, a detective located an additional motorcycle which had been reported stolen from Wenatchee one month prior. The investigation is ongoing.
